April often takes a support role in video games, and in the Konami series of TMNT games based on the 2003 TV series, April resembles her cartoon counterpart. She is a smart engineer and the owner of an antique shop, as well as one of the few friends the Turtles considered to be part of the family. She has feelings toward Casey but both seem to have a hard time trying to express how they feel. Like in the 2003 show, she is no longer a mere damsel-in-distress but often shows up in various cutscenes to give advice and advance the plot of the game. Her role is ordinarily identical to that seen within the series. However, there are a couple of key differences.

Mutant Melee

In TMNT: Mutant Melee, April is once again a playable character and participates in multi-player battles, using mostly kick attacks. Her super move is a rotating spin-kick attack. Two unlockable versions of April include her wearing outfits fit for winter and for summer; these Aprils are essentially alternate costumes given their own select screen slots.

Smash-Up

April has her 2007 film design in Ubisoft's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Smash-Up, but has her voice and personality from the 2003 series. Here, she fights with a katana.
