As a reminder, with SDCC coming up and undoubtedly lots of new TMNT info to add, not to post any images with watermarks outside of official Playmates/Nick/IDW/etc. watermark logos. If you crop an image from one that has a watermark, be sure to credit the site you acquired it from in the image's EDIT portion. The purpose of the "no watermarks" rule isn't to obscure the origin of the image, but to keep the image clean and clear. The official watermark clause is only because a non-watermarked version may not be possible, at least at the time of announcement.Read more >

Because 2017 is the 30th anniversary of the original 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, they should make a movie for the occasion. I would love it if they got the entire original voice cast from the show to reprise their roles. Of course they'll have to find someone that has a similar voice to James Avery for 1987 Shredder. Maybe it could take place sometime after the original show ended back in 1996, where Shredder and Krang find a way back on Earth to get some revenge on the Turtles along with Burne Thompson on their side. And there could be one point where the 1987 Turtles try goin their separate ways only to find a way to come to their senses and reunite for the ultimate battle with some of the supporting characters ret…Read more >
For the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' 35th Anniversary in 2019, I feel there should be a big mega-crossover movie, a live-action/2D/3D-animated version of the 2009 animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Forever. Where every incarnation of the Ninja Turtles from 1987, 1984, 1990, 2003, 2012 and 2014 all team-up to battle every version of Shredder, Krang, Bebop & Rocksteady and other memorable fan-favorite villains to save the Multiverse. I truly feel that the voices from the TV shows the 1990 movie and the 2014 reboot should all reprise their roles for such a crossover. And maybe some celebrity cameos of Ninja Turtles fans like Vanilla Ice, Black Nerd, Nostalgia Critic and Angry Video Game Nerd. And even Partners in Kryme and Spunkadeli…Read more >

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Episode 11 - Mousers Attack!
If you all take the time to go back to the episode listed above and go to the time provided, you'll notice a hidden TMNT Easter Egg! The producers of the episode might not have noticed that Clancy Brown (who does the voice for Bradford, Dogpound, and Rahzar) slipped in a subtle remark to the cast and crew. The transcript below reveals Dogpound's "Not for kids" moment.
Well, there you have it! Don't believe me? Feel free to watch the episode yourself! It's clear that Dogpound's voice actor decided to let one spill! I mean, it was an intense moment, and maybe Clancy was really, really into the scene! No excuses though, a curse word was slipped in TMNT, and it probably led to many young …

You know, on second thought, it was wrong of me to crop the Tales of the TMNT frontispiece pages. They're not like comic panels. Stephen Murphy is probably one of the more controversial TMNT writers there's been. If you haven't heard of him, he used to write a lot for Archie TMNT and for Tales of the TMNT volume 2. And his recurring themes are moral stories about environmentalism and social justice.
So what do I think? To be honest, it's kind of a mixed bag.
I'm originally from a low coral atoll in the Pacific, so global warming is a pretty damn important topic to me. And I think social justice is something people shouldn't forget about, as a matter of humane principle. In this respect, it's not a bad thing to write stories that convey these messages.
On the flip side, I can see how Murphy's morals-of-the-story can be handled...rather inelegantly. For one thing, he…Read more >

Recently, someone I knew invited a bunch of people to watch season 2 with him. He had been watching 2K12 for the first time, and it was all new to him. Being as fond of it as I am, I watched with him. But since it was all new to him, it also felt like I was watching it all for the first time, again, but through someone else's eyes.
I love this series. It captures a part of my imagination usually only reserved for TMNT comics. I love the characters, I love the settings, I love the subtlety, I love the story, I love all the little attention to every detail.
When he finished watching The Invasion, Part 2, I realized I was feeling really, really sad. I knew that, soon after season 3 started, most of what had interested me about the show had …Read more >
It's come to my attention recently that I've become a real eeyore on this wiki. My comments have become all the more negative and sniping. I'd really like that not to be the way things are. I've decided to practice more caution than usual in my commenting, and see what I can do about my eeyore problem. I can't deny it, though—recently has been very difficult for me as a TMNT fan, and it's chipped away at my composure and objectivity. As an editor, I'd really like to be setting a better example than this.Read more >
What they've done to his character since then is so very wrong. It's the character derailment hurt that keeps on hurting. I've been wanting to see more of the deep, subtle, vulnerable, tsundere, catty, sassy, bitingly sarcastic, playful, vain, prima donna, April-competing, Karai-catfighting, Donnie-girl-trouble-counseling, Donnie-saddorable-teasing, Mikey-hugging, Slash-angsting Raph we came to know and love. He was fun! He was interesting! How quickly he went from being the best-written version of Raphael to being one of the worst-written versions of Raphael.
I keep wishing his version in Amazing Adventures at least had more depth to him again, but AA doesn't seem to have done enough to break the rut its predecessor New Animated Adven…Read more >
Earlier in the 2K12 series, I became rather spoiled with fairly decent TMNT TV delivered in 26 episodes per year. Now that the show has long since become mindless shallow phony crap, it's been a weird sensation returning to an older status quo of waiting for new good TMNT stuff to come out at a snail's pace, waiting months or even years at a time for something new that piques my interest.
As much as I love TMNT comics, they're painfully slow to update. IDW TMNT and Amazing Adventures update once a month, and Amazing Adventures' main storylines are maybe 15 some-odd pages of update. MNT Gaiden updates whenever Tigerfog gets around to making a new page, which these days seems to mean one new chapter per year. And just like Genndy Tartakov…Read more >

This may be the most complicated chiptune I've ever done. I actually started it back in April, and wanted to publish it in April. (Yes, I so wanted to make that joke. This is from the MegaDrive/Genesis version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. Compared to the Super NES version, it was mechnically a mediocre fighting game. However, what it did have was a first class soundtrack by the now-retired Miki Higashino, better known for composing Salamander/Lifeforce and the Suikoden games. This was also one of the only (is it still the only?) TMNT game where April O'Neil is act…

In the mold of one of my old favorite sports shows, “Top 5 Reasons You Can’t Blame”, hosted by Brian Kenny, I like to follow that mold sometimes for entertainment topics, which I’m about to do here. Let me just say that when I was 5 years old, the third season finale (if you’ll call it that) of the original Ninja Turtles series aired. I can only imagine being a fly on the wall and seeing those kids around that age, as well as their parents, as they gathered on their couches that Sunday morning and watched the conclusion of the 2012 Ninja Turtle's Season 3 finale known intimately as “Annihilation Earth.”
I’m sure some of you may still question the validity of how and why they had to go up into space. Could Shredder have waited just a quarte…Read more >

As much as I like a good sci-fi or even fantasy product, I can't help but look back on some of the stuff I have watched and refer to either of those two genres as the "Hypocratic Genre(s)". They try so hard to establish another world or different characters or whatever and yet they try just as hard, if not harder, to emulate our own. Science fiction most of all likes to borrow from the fantasy genre to include things such as aliens, magic, supernatural beings and powers, even its technology because, for the most part at least, the devices are usually quite frankly impossible! There are a lot more hypocracies relevant to these genres (a lot of them revolving around the theme of unity) but I'll stick to the main point(s) and the case at hand…Read more >

The foot soldiers, sluggish and dumb,

Shredder and Krang decided on a plan,

as a power-surge was made by Bebop and Rocksteady.
Alpha One was his nome de crime,

He bent the foot-bots to his will,
sent the old villains packing, footed them the bill.

Like all of you, I'm still recovering from the Season 3 finale and moving on with Season 4. I am of course talking about the 2012 series which has hit me in the inside with the recent episodes.
I have also came up with an idea. This is just like the Big House and the Arena in the Turtles in Space arc from the 2003 series. Here's the pitch:
"Leonardo has been separated from his brothers and friends and finds himself in space prison by the Triceratons. Inside, he meets and befriends a fellow alien prisoner named Aura as his brothers and his friends find someway to save the Fea…Read more >
Work, social life, MLB playoffs, illness, death in the family, and that explains why I haven't written anything in a while. Well, that and the fact that there hasn't been a lot to write about with regards to these first two episodes. After game-changers like "Annihilation Earth"--which, despite a couple of hiccups in getting to it's resolution, was a masterpiece, no doubt about it, so let's get that out of the way--establishment is the precedence for the following season premiere. Excellent comic animation, a great full-time premiere by David Tennan's Fugitoid who I have a lot of expectations for, and a time-travel format which can actually be pretty good depending on direction. That's one thing I can go under the microscope and really exa…Read more >
So, I've noticed new images of Wyrm, Professor Honeycutt (and whatever's afflicting him), and my most anticipated character this season, Sal Commander, are up! I don't know where they came from but I'm highly interested in where! As my new user page photo says, I can't wait for this character largely because of his voice actor, Keith David! I know we've got David Tennant already; we'll hear from Ron Perlman, Zelda Williams, and Peter Stormare later; and of course, Pat Fraley returning as Kraang in that highly anticipated 80's crossover; but Keith David is one of my favorite voice actors of all time and I can't wait to hear what he has to bring to the table during the space arc. I'll be looking forward to it!Read more >
If anyone's ever watched "The Leftovers" or even seen the opening credits to the episodes of Season 1, it's so reminiscent of the Season 3 finale. Once I saw Splinter, Rockwell & Leatherhead, Slash, Gecko, Muckman, and Tiger Claw ascending, I was instantly reminded of that sequence and the music. Now, whenever I see the ending of that episode, I start to play the music to "The Leftovers" Season 1 opening titles, blaringly loud mind you, when the black hole first appears over New York and it never gets old! I really wish I knew how to do AMVs and all that so I could match certain parts to "Annihilation Earth" so they match the credits of that show, but it's still pretty cool.

I've always wanted to start an entertainment/TMNT blog of my own, but now I think it's a little too late to join the Season 3 finale and Season 4 prediction party so I'll have to skip on that unless someone would be interested. Pffft! Yeah right!
My goal with my own blog is to do more than just review and/or talk about something. Anyone can do that! All they would have to do is say "I liked it" or "I don't like it" and give some lackadaisical (?) reason which doesn't really say anything smart or insightful...and that's the key word I hope to live up to: insight!
