In the IDW continuity, Carl is a computer programmer whom Michelangelo briefly encountered in his micro-series issue. Carl was one of a group of individuals who were planning to steal the Dresden diamond, but he lost his nerve at the last minute and removed his party admission bracelet. Michelangelo used the bracelet himself, and was mistaken for Carl.
