Cuddle Cakes Puppy Rescue is a puppy shelter business located in the woodlands of Long Island. It is owned and managed by Todd Capybara.
History[]
Cuddle Cakes Puppy Rescue debuted in "Repo Mantis". The shelter operated out of Todd's parked recreational vehicle and a fenced-off enclosure. Donatello and Michelangelo arrived at the shelter to repossess the RV on behalf of Repo Mantis Salvage, as Todd had not made payments in two years. But Todd proved to be a genuinely kind and good-natured person, and the two turtles eventually agreed to build some more permanent facilities for Todd in exchange for the RV. Donnie designed the new facility with high-tech features and he and Mikey built the new structures within days, and they and Todd parted on good terms.
Some of the Turtles periodically revisited Todd at Cuddle Cakes Puppy Rescue and its surrounding forest in subsequent episodes, including "Nothing But Truffle" and "Todd Scouts".
After the Shredder invaded and destroyed the lair in "Shreddy or Not", the Turtles, April O'Neil, and Todd fled the city and took refuge at Cuddle Cakes Puppy Rescue, where they remained until Hamato Karai's spirit, residing in April, was able to teach the Hamato Ninpō. Since Raphael's tonfā, Leonardo's ōdachi, Mikey's kusari-fundō, and Donnie's Tech-Bō had been destroyed during their standoff with the Shredder at the lair, Todd used the blacksmith forge at his puppy shelter to construct gardening tools as make-shift replacement weapons for the Turtles.
