Dr. L'Estrange is a scientist employed at Unbridled Technologies, where he created the Anxietron ray. Despite the status of that project supposedly being classified, Shredder and Krang were aware of it and sent Bebop and Rocksteady to steal it. When L'Estrange protested against their theft of the device, they shot him with it, turning him into a cowering mess. Bebop and Rocksteady Conquer the Universe
