The Amazon Rainforest (Portuguese: Floresta Amazônica or Amazônia; Spanish: Selva Amazónica, Amazonía or usually Amazonia; French: Forêt amazonienne; Dutch: Amazoneregenwoud), also known in English as Amazonia or the Amazon Jungle is a giant broadleaf forest covering most of the Amazon Basin in South America. Most of the forest is in Brazil, with minor parts spanning into Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana.
In the TMNT Adventures comic books, both the Mutanimals and the turtles sometimes fight against people chopping down the rainforest.
In the film Out of the Shadows, Brazilian rainforests near Manaus are seen.[1]
In Archie Comics' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures special TMNT Meet The Conservation Corps, a pod lands in the Amazon rainforest.
