Description[]
In the film, the Jersey Devil is depicted to be a small, yet dangerous creature. It is red in color with short horns, sharp claws, teeth and fangs, a long tongue, and a scorpion-like tail.
History[]
Like the rest of the Thirteen Monsters, the Jersey Devil escaped from a portal in South America 3000 years ago, and has been terrorizing humanity ever since. This monster inhabits the US State of New Jersey, where many legends about the creature have developed.
Not even a steel refrigerator can stop the Jersey Devil.
In the 2007 film, it is first seen causing havoc in a diner, when Raphael as the Nightwatcher encounters it. It is hyperactive and extremely fast. Raphael manages to defeat it by feeding it smoke pellets, causing it to run away with its mouth on fire. The Stone Generals soon captured it along with Leonardo. They were then taken back to Max Winters' tower and locked in separate cages. After the final battle against the Stone Generals, the Jersey Devil was sent back to its home world.

- The film producers debated on the optimal number of times for the Jersey Devil to run across the screen after swallowing the smoke pellets. Twice was finally chosen over three times for maximum comedic effect.
