In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Amazing Adventures, Leatherhead is a mutant alligator. He is Slash's second-in command and a member of the Mighty Mutanimals.

This version of Leatherhead is branched off from his previous version in the 2012 TV series. His history before the events of Amazing Adventures is the same as that of his animated version.

History[]

Zodiac, Part 1[]

Leatherhead falls victim to Zodiac as he collects mutants to complete the symbols of the zodiac in order to acquire their power. It is explained that Leatherhead represents "the dragon".

Zodiac, Part 2[]

The Turtles battle to free Splinter, Leatherhead and other mutants from the power of the Zodiac Key, even as Shredder interferes.

The Meeting of the Mutanimals, Part One[]

Leatherhead is among the "dangerous" prisoners being held in a New York City school by the Kraang.

The Meeting of the Mutanimals, Part 2[]

Slash and Pigeon Pete work together to free the mutants, including Leatherhead, who are held captive by the Kraang.

Robotanimals! issue 1[]

Baxter Stockman ambushes the Mighty Mutanimals with engineered nanobots, transforming Leatherhead and his friends into Robotanimals.

Robotanimals! issue 2[]

After Casey Jones manages to detonate the antidote bomb created by Donatello, restoring the Mutanimals to their former selves, Stockman turns his attention to April O'Neil. Now back to his former self, Leatherhead and the other Mutanimals rush to help the Turtles rescue their friend.

Robotanimals! issue 3[]

Leatherhead, along with the other Mutanimals and the Turtles, battle other roboticized mutants in order to save April and Casey from the scheming Baxter Stockman.

Epilogue: The Terror of the Kraang[]

Trivia[]

Leatherhead is shown with youthful green scales, during a period of time when his version on the TV series would have been physically older and grey in color.
