Manhattan is an island and the most important of the five boroughs of New York City, serving as an important location in every incarnations of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where at least one of the Turtle Lairs is located in the sewers beneath. The Second Time Around building is also often in Manhattan, though in some incarnations it is instead located in neighboring Brooklyn.
