Poe was a mutant opossum and a member of The Selected. As with the other members of this team, he initially began as a pitch for an action figure by Ryan Brown that Playmates Toys chose not to produce. A second attempt to utilize the character was as a character on the second season of the unproduced Mighty Mutanimals animated series.
Eventually, Ryan Brown and Fernando Leon Gonzalez sought to use Poe as the member of The Selected, a Mutanimals-esque team under Mirage Studios. Although no official word of cancellation of this project has been given, it has not materialized as of 2019.
