The Purple Dragons are common enemies of the Ninja Turtles in several incarnations of the TMNT franchise, with their first appearance being in the opening pages of the very first comic. They are a New York street gang mostly consisting of low-level thugs. They often tend to be connected to the Foot Clan in some way.
