In many of the classic Konami games, Raphael held the disadvantage of having the shortest range of his weapon. He often has the weakest attack power, but is usually the fastest. A common special move Raphael has in video games is the "Power Drill" or "Sai Drill", in which he spins while launching himself at the foe horizontally, similar to M.Bison/Vega's Psycho Crusher move from the popular "Street Fighter" franchise. In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Madness, he is an unlockable 2-star character, classified as Tank/Brawler.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, he has 3 stars in power, 2 in speed, and 1 in reach.
