In the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics by IDW Publishing, the Second Time Around Store is a thrift shop owned by April O'Neil's parents John and Elizabeth, who also own the building and the apartment directly above the shop. April's parents run the shop until John's stroke, after which they relocate to their farm and the building lies vacant. After April's friends Splinter and the turtles lose their first lair in the sewer, she gives them refuge in the building, where they live until finding a new lair. Later, the healed John and Elizabeth move back into the building, and Casey Jones moves in with them.
