Sheila Shaunston is a woman who was inadvertedly institutionalized by Raphael.
History[]
Sheila is the mother of Pammy and wife of an unnamed man (likely "Mr. Shaunston"). She has a history of fainting attacks, but her husband has told Pammy that those were an attention-seeking actions.
Raphael meets Pammy when he rescues her cat from a tree. Pammy tells her mother about "Raffle" and she disbelieves her. Raphael enters their apartment through a window to prove that Pammy wasn't telling stories, which causes Sheila to faint. Raph calls 911 for emergency services and Pammy takes flowers out of a nearby vase to splash her mother with water. Raph exits before the emergency providers can arrive.
Raph returns that night to check on Sheila, and Pammy tells her that she's gone to a "special hospital" because she told them about seeing Raph. Raph deduces that she's been taken to Belleview Psychiatric Hospital and heads over there.
Sheila tells Dr. Benton that she saw a giant "armored frog" named "Rifle" and Benton thinks she's had a psychotic break. Sheila is taken back to her room after their session, and Raph enters to confront Benton. It is Benton himself who has a psychotic break, wondering how much more of his patients' delusions over the last 20 years turn out to be real, and stamps Sheila's file as "Cured" before he goes on a shooting rampage.
Sheila goes home and her family goes out to the zoo a few days later. Pammy asks if "Raffle" will be at the zoo, and Sheila tries convincing Pammy (and probably herself) that it was just a strange person in a stranger costume. Pammy says Raffle was nice, but Sheila doesn't know that for sure, but believes he at least tried to be.
