Synopsis[]

Raphael and Michelangelo battle the giant robot they encountered in the sewers at the end of the previous issue. As they fight, the robot tries to protest, attempting to get them to cease. Once the Turtles' weapons have stuck in the robot, it shrinks down and changes form, revealing itself to be none other than their old friend Honeycutt the Fugitoid - who has between his rusty memory and becoming accustomed to his larger form, did not foresee his comrades taking him for a threat.

A United States Coast Guard captain tells the helmsman, Frank, about some trouble-causers nearby, the passangers of a boat called the Dollar Hag. Apparently, the Dollar Hag is one of many attempting to catch a glimpse of the aliens on Moon-Island. The Coast Guard tells the Dollar Hag to turn back and just watch the Utroms' address on TV later that night. A tug launches from the island, heading toward the United Nations headquarters.

April stares out the window, pondering how much is on her mind with the inability to have a baby and the recent public arrival of the Utroms. Casey offers her some popcorn so they can watch the Utroms' address and temporarily forget at least one of her problems.

Fugitoid, Raph, and Mike arrive at the lair and they sit down with Leonardo and Donatello to watch the Utroms' address.

At the UN headquarters, the Utrom ambassador, Korobon begins their speech, inviting Earth to join their confederation so that they can share in their culture and technology. The Utroms declare they will stay for a year on Earth; if they are still not welcome after that span of time, they'll go back to the Moon.

As Korobon speaks, various parties are shown watching on TV; the Madhattan Maulitia (one of the members decides he doesn't need their "culture" and shoots their set, angering the other members), Splinter, Shadow, Metal Head, and Stephen at the Jones Farmhouse, and Karai.

Over the next six months, the world continues changing due to the Utroms' reveal and declaration. Arguments and debates, cults, laws, economy, and even marketing all take a complete change.

After those six months, Casey, April, and Shadow head to Utrom Island on a boat, while they are met there by the Turtles on watercraft sleds. As April walks through the Utroms' security scanner, however, an alarm goes off, and they are approached by the Utroms' security detail - the Foot Clan.

Trivia[]

  • The Turtles needed to brand themselves so others can tell them apart on Utrom Island since weapons are outlawed, and put temporary tattoos on their plastrons. The designs were said by Peter Laird to have a significance in design correlating to each Turtle, but could not remember what each one meant.
    • It is declared by Leo that they had considered "different color bandanas", but decided that was too "dorky".
