The Grybyx is a season 3 episode of the 1987-1996 series.

Plot Summary

A portal to Dimension X appears in the sky over midtown, and the Turtles are concerned about what might come through. Indeed, something small and furry flies through and buzzes the news team, just as the portal closes.

The Turtles try to track down the creature, only to discover that it's telekinetic and easily able to defeat them with their own weapons. But April is eventually able to get a good look at it, and finds an adorable little creature with brown fur, antennae and an odd nose. The Turtles are charmed by it, and decide to look after it until they can return it to Dimension X.

Down in the Technodrome, Krang detects psychokinetic readings, and declares that he thinks it's a Grybyx, which is kept as a pet by some in Dimension X.

Meanwhile, another portal appears in the sky, which he Turtles think is the ideal way to send the creature back. Unfortunately, it doesn't want to go back and escapes. And before the portal closes, something else comes through. Splinter sends the Turtles to investigate this new arrival, while he and April will search for the Grybyx.

As the Turtles fly over the city in the Turtle Blimp, they spot the Starmobile. They soon discern that the creature they found is Kala's pet Grybyx, which the Neutrinos came to Earth to find. They also learn that if the Grybyx eats anything, it would be disastrous.

April and Splinter find the Grybyx sniffing around the oven, and April decides to give the creature some pizza. Leonardo's warning not to feed it comes seconds too late, as the Grybyx grows to the size of a grizzly bear and becomes violently aggressive. Kala shouts through the Turtle-Com that they need to douse the creature in water, which Splinter manages to do by breaking a water pipe. This restores the Grybyx back to its cute form, but it runs off before they can catch it.

Shredder, Rocksteady and Bebop arrive in the sewers to capture the Grybyx, and soon run into the Turtles. The Turtles and their enemies face off in battle, which is complicated by the Grybyx's mischievous sense of humor. It chases Shredder and his mutants into retreat, damaging their module, but Shredder manages to knock the creature senseless and escape with it.

Krang demands that he drain the Grybyx's energy for their use. At a laboratory, Shredder sets up the Grybyx to have its powers transmitted to the Technodrome, which will probably kill it, only to have a short-circuit wreck his plans. Bebop happens to be eating a hamburger when the little creature wakes up, and Rocksteady gives the burger to it... only for it to grow even larger and more violent than before.

The Grybyx chases Shredder and his mutants through the area, trashing everything it comes across. As it approaches the Turtles, Donatello opens up a fire hydrant and treduces the Grybyx back to its normal size. The Neutrinos depart for their home once again.
