    My thoughts:

Leo goes into danger when he allies with Karai.

Tiger Claw and Shredder's forces (consisting of Rahzar Fishface Rocksteady and Bebop) are plotting to make another move to take down Raph, Donnie, Mikey, Casey and April.

Highly possible. Or should I say interesting theory.

    • My thoughts:

      1. Leo makes villains think that he turned evil. He "joins" the Foot and starts wearing his new Dark Leo outfit. Then he attacks Hun, secretly meets with Shinigami who gets caught by Tiger Claw who was following Leo, then Leo fails to save Shinigami and returns to the lair to inform the others about what happened. Karai promises to save Shinigami.

      2. He gets mind-controlled by Shinigami who has her own reasons to do that to Leo (or she actually was with the Shredder all along), and mind-controlled Leo attacks Hun on Shinigami's orders. Then the team and Karai learn about that and battle Shinigami in old Shredder's lair in a losing effort. Then some action happens, the team defeats Shinigami and saves Leo, and then Karai promises that she will have her revenge on Shinigami.

P.S. By the way, I don't want Shinigami to turn evil.

    • MAN that ruled, Elite Foot-bots, scary revenge feuled Karai, Dark Leo, just cool!

    • SERIOUSLY!?! Karai gets new Foot soldiers and they just happened to wear the exact same uniform as Hamato Clan ninjas. Yet the turtles don't question that at all, even though there was no explanation given for that. I would at least expect Mikey to make a small quick comment (like he does with many other familiar instances) about how they look like the Hamato ninjas they fought before, but we didn't even get that. Just..."Hey we got some new Foot ninjas. Never mind what their wearing, their Foot ninjas." Seriously, can the graphic artists not just come up with new look for the Foot without just copying and pasting one they already did for another clan? Jeez!

    • Technically they weren't Foot before this season, they were mercenaries, and judging by how hard they all got owned...not very good ones.

    • Anyway, on to the actual episode. (sigh) Yep it's confirmed, Karai has a death wish. And I can't BELIEVE Leo got caught up in this idiotic spite seeking mission right there with her. He is supposed to be the mature and wise one. This gave me flashbacks to Robin in Teen Titans, particularly the episode "Masks". Both leaders snuck out on a major mission and opted NOT to inform their team about it. That decision both caused their team (or at least a member of it) to get hurt and their mission to fail.

Except with Robin, I can almost relate to his decision, given his circumstances. It was season one of TT, the team was still somewhat new, as the longest the team could have known each other was a little over a year. He recently learned that much of the crimes in the city was orchistrated by a powerful mercenary, even for what he had dealt with before. He thought the best option in stopping him was to go undercover, and he did not know how his team would react considering they haven't faced an enemy like this before. He was afraid for their safety, plus they could have jepordized the mission so he chose the safest option: go undercover and don't tell them.

But LEO, they were your BROTHERS that you grew up with, man! Their saftey wasn't even the reason he did it. And we are elbows deep in season 4! You would think that by now, after all that the Turtles have been through together, Leo would have learned that he can count on his brothers in any situation. He's the last turtle I would expect to be this, well...stupid. And for what, burning Shredder's money? Is the fearless leader reduced to that?

Anyway, OMG this version of Raph was the Nightwatcher too? 07 movie throwback!

And Karai's powers just keep getting cooler. Healing burns by shedding her skin...awesome :]

    • Are we using this thread for the whole "City at War" arc then? I'm cool with that.

(Please disreguard that line, there was confusion earlier. Thank you).

As with Leo...I think its PRETTY safe to say he just wanted to hang with Karai and get on her good side again, he's allowed his one stupid thing per season.

And I flipping NEED a Nightwatcher comic based in 2K12, that costume was the COOLEST thing about that movie that looks like a sequel to 2K3 but was supposed to be a sequel to the nineties movies despite NONE of the original VAs being in it. None of them. Robbie Rist is always available.

And yes, yes they do....her plan was still terrible though, but it makes sense she'd hae bad strategic skills given the MASSIVE psychological trauma she's gon through the past year.

Karai:I got an idea, let's attack the Shredder's legitimate businesses BEFORE taking out his evil robot factories!

Leo: Uh...Karai that plan is awful, I mean what do you know about the robo-

Karai:SCREW YOU LEO-I don't need you, I got my hot witch girlfriend and army of elite warriors!

      Shinigami: What was that senpai?

Red Foot: And I wouldn't call us elite, wer'e barealy special ops, shell these weren't even our original costumes, we bought them from an old warehouse from Hamato-cor-

Karai:SHUT UP I AM LADY SHREDDER!

      • One save later*

Karai: Okay I won't face the Shredder without your help any more.

Leo: Glad you've come to your sens-

    • She's gotta like, put those new Foot clan through a training retreat or something. What is it with nameless ninja soldiers being terrible?

    • Yeah, unfortunately it seems like a trend that continues with every Ninja Turtles incarnation.

    • From Mirage to now, as well as any series that has ninjas in general.

SO *CLAP* Shinigami, we all know she's gonna do a heel-faced turn right?

        Loading editor
    • While Karai's healing powers are admittedly cool, I was hoping she'd keep the burn scars, even if they were toned down in the next episode. Since Shredder also has scars on his face, it would have been an interesting similarity. The burn scars could have shown that in her quest for revenge against Shredder, she could start becoming like Shredder. She already is similar in that she grew up in one ninja clan, found out she was a part of another one, then betrayed her clan and sought out revenge against them, just like Shredder. I think the burn scars could have symbolized that her quest for revenge was leading her down darker paths whose consequences she couldn't erase, similar to Shredder's revenge-fest. But healing powers are cool too I guess.

    • Agreed. Not gonna lie, I was initially hoping for that too. Would have been an interesting aspect of the story, but it still can be done just as good without the burns. She's half snake now, that's not going away anytime soon, especially when she is incurable even with retro mutagen. I mean, she can't even kiss anyone anymore without potentially killing them. That seems like it would be more potent and life-changing than the burn scars she suffered.

And for the record, Shredder wasn't betrayed by his clan. Hamato Yuta took him in as an infant instead of leaving him to die with the rest of the Foot Clan. And Shredder kind of ended up betraying the clan he became a part of eventually.

Wait...you think she's gonna be a bad guy?

Well, I can kind of see that happening in the future but I kinda can't. Moreso with her development in this episode, as skilled as she is, she's beginning to seem like more of... a scatterbrain. She doesn't seem the type to go full bad guy, maybe just the type to throw the others under the bus when it benifits her. Kind of like what Mona did in The Evil of Dregg, but without the regret or "whole planet at stake" thing. She seems like the more delinquent type material girl that steals things that she thinks looks pretty.

If she wants to turn full bad guy though, I'm cool with it. You know how I said that this show lacks female characters? Well that goes extreme for female villains, and now that Karai has gone full good guy, we ain't got a single one. As much enemies as the turtles have made, you would think that at least two or three would have been female. If only they would just introduce Viral. *sigh*...

      D-D-D-DARK LEO????????? O-O

Well if he's not bad and neither is Karai then I guess it's not a bad thing.

Ok Karai is losing her mind. She needs to stop focusing on revenge and start living the happy life with her family that loves her and wants her back. Yeah I get the whole "forge my own path" but that shouldn't include throwing your life away for revenge!

LOOKS like a scatterbrain, and we all know looks can be deceiving. Plus she's got a hypno-deally...and she's working with Karai...who has a history of having her mind messed with...please just let her have a female friend, there are barely any female friendships on television as is!

And agreed on Viral, she ruled.

Make that females in general lol

But judging by how Shini saved Karai quite a bit despite only being a couple episode in, Karai saying she's an old friend, and the fact that Shini refers to her as senpai and follows pretty much all of her orders, I don't think we have anything to worry about in terms of Shini betraying Karai. The Turtles and April on the other hand... could be a different story.

Her AND Sh'Okanabo. 2K12 NEEDS THESE VILLAINS!

Sh'Okanabo is WAY scarier than Shredder...well, until we see what he's like as Super Shredder. Then there might be a debate.

Absolutely! Plus if they do Dark Turtles, I kinda hope the look a bit more like the actual ones. I think they were a bit too monster-like for being dopplegangers of the turtles

    • Yeah, I get they were hybrids of aliens and mutant turtles, but it was a bit of a stretch.

      ALSO-just ONE Inawari Ganjiin.

FINAL ALSO-more Kiss, I'm addicted to "New York Groove".

    • Is anyone else kind of annoyed that Tiger Claw, two episode in a row now, got caught in explosions and not only survived, but wasn't even injured. And somehow, Karai gets severe burns and he doesn't even though they were both caught in the same explosion around the same spot. Plus, he was CLEARLY about to fall in the lava pit, but they cut it to make it so he landed on a platform that he was CLEARLY not going to hit. I'm not saying I want him gone that bad... yet, but they shouldn't tease his death this much if they don't go through with it. I actually wouldn't mind if Tiger Claw is killed off and replaced with a cool lion villain who actually make use of his beastly qualities. I honestly think Tiger Claw would make a better alien villain than a mutant villain.

      LOOK at that!

Also, I'm not sure, but did the turtles' rooms get a redesign? They are barely shown as is, but they look newer to me.

Karai losing her mind might be an after effect of the brain worm she spat out. As for her wanting revenge on the Shredder is justified in her thoughts. She lived her whole life being lied to about Splinter killing her mother. When she found out the truth, her hatred for Splinter died and her hatred for Shredder began.
