It's good that the show ended when it did. When shows continue for too long, they tend to decline in quality. Based on a certain special, I strongly suspect that would have happened with this show. Besides, they concluded the main storyline quite nicely. I have my DVDs, along with a few of the Season 5 episodes on Amazon, and plan to enjoy future re-wtaches :)
Exactly!
Yeah, the main storyline's conclusion left it with limited places to go. I mean, the 2003 series continued after the Utrom Shredder was banished, but they also conjured up a new villain and ended up producing a stream of other Shredders.

And that didn't exactly turn out well for them. At their core they were all basically the same Shredder.

Spongebob and Fairy OddParents are only series at Nickelodeon which reached 10 seasons
Yeah, but Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents went on WAY after they stopped being great shows. That's the risk you run when you do a TV series for more than a few seasons.
TMNT 1987 had 10 seasons TMNT 2003 had 7 seasons TMNT 2012 has 5 seasons TMNT 2018 will have 2 seasons
I also want 6 season for 2012 series. Sadly as you can see, number of seasons in each single next cartoon is decrasing.
TMNT 2012 has some unfinished threads!
Actually, we have no idea how many TMNT 2018 will have. It will have AT LEAST two seasons and a Netflix movie.
