The Time-Stopper is an invention created by Donatello in the 1987-1996 series episode Donatello Makes Time. This invention was one which Donatello worked hard on and considered among his most groundbreaking, as it allowed him to temporarily freeze small pockets of time that the machine was focused on.
However, the Time-Stopper was stolen by professor Lloyd Cycloid, who used it on the Turtles to keep himself from being caught. He then utilized the device to steal an ancient Egyptian artifact, the iridium head of Tu-Tu Karmen, and a cutting-edge laser device. Donatello pursued Cycloid but fell victim to his own machine, ending up trapped over a tank of toxic fluid. Leonardo then used the device to save Donatello's life.
Despite Donatello's protestations, the Time-Stopper was destroyed by Raphael.[1] Its inventor lamented that it might take him years to rebuild it.
