- This was the first issue of Tales with Dan Berger as the managing editor, replacing Stephen Murphy who had been managing editor for the entire Tales volume 2 up to this point. Dan Berger also created this issue's backup comic, Awww... Rats!.
- This issue's frontispiece was illustrated by Sophie Campbell (then known as Ross Campbell), but she was not listed in the issue's credits. The original illustration without text bubbles is in her deviantART gallery.
