I've always wanted to start an entertainment/TMNT blog of my own, but now I think it's a little too late to join the Season 3 finale and Season 4 prediction party so I'll have to skip on that unless someone would be interested. Pffft! Yeah right!

My goal with my own blog is to do more than just review and/or talk about something. Anyone can do that! All they would have to do is say "I liked it" or "I don't like it" and give some lackadaisical (?) reason which doesn't really say anything smart or insightful...and that's the key word I hope to live up to: insight! Others just focus on surface material. I look to go beyond the surface, try to get inside the artist's head, see what they were going for, and whether the project as such was a success or not and why. Hence the title, "Under the Microscope."

Also, as much as I like to view myself as a guy who likes to tell it like it is, I also like to view the other side too--to challenge conventional wisdom and reexamine what has been accepted as fact, if you will. As such, I may buck the crowd from time to time.

I can't wait for Season 4 on October 25th. Since the Fugitoid arc is 13 episodes long, chances are we'll be seeing Earth and everyone else again in mid-March. I worry about the Fugitoid's fate like in the 2003 series. I can easily see him sacrificing himself in some painful way to help the Turtles restore Earth and, after his passing, is in his coffin surrounded by the Turtles and their comrades from "Annihilation Earth" as the coffin is launched into space. Other than how excited I am about the '80s crossover and having Keith David amongst the cast this season, I won't go any further with anything more related to Season 4 of any kind. I usually get predictions wrong anyways.
